The Story Behind Tim’s Scuba Maps:

The Story Behind Tim’s Scuba Maps:

If you knew me, you would know I never return from a trip empty‑handed. I’m a collector — not of fancy souvenirs, but of the things that hold a memory. A stick from Ely, Minnesota. A rock from Higgins Lake. A railroad tie from an Amtrak cross‑country adventure. A dried‑out coconut from a dive trip in Belize.

Every item on my shelf tells a story — where I was, who I met, and how the adventure changed me.

A few years ago, my good friend Scott talked me into getting certified. I figured it would be fun, but I didn’t expect it to flip a switch inside me. The moment I descended into that quiet blue world, everything else faded. The noise. The stress. The rush of everyday life. Underwater, it’s just peace, color, movement, and wonder.

With just over 50 dives so far, I’m fully addicted — to the adventure, the calm, the people, the places, and the stories that come with every descent.

On a dive trip two years ago, I met Kelly, who became my dive buddy for the week, her husband Zach, who unknowingly helped spark a business idea. We were talking about souvenirs — what we bring home, what we wish existed — and I realized something:

There was no souvenir that truly captured the full dive experience.

Nothing tied it all together. So, I decided to create something that did.

I wanted a souvenir that wasn’t just a trinket — something you could take on the boat, something waterproof, something beautiful enough to frame, and something that captured the entire dive destination in one place.

That idea became Tim’s Scuba Maps:
High‑quality, waterproof, full‑color maps designed for dive shopsdive resorts, and divers who want to remember every moment.

These maps are built for adventure.
Built for storytelling.
Built for memories.

Ready to take on the boat for your next dive and then when the trip is over take it home and frame it.
